Only because Amy said this was a good story:
I was supposed to get up at 4:30 this morning to go to work. I had to meet my boss at the office at 5:15, and it's a twenty-minute drive, meaning I'd have to leave at 4:55 at the latest. I usually set the alarm on my phone for something like that, just to make sure that I leave on time... so it was set to go off at 4:55.
This morning, my boss called me at 4:20 saying I didn't have to come in. I had already slept seven hours and didn't want to go right back to sleep, so I sat at my computer for a while and waited to get sleepy again.
I had forgotten that I'd set the alarm on my phone, so I was startled when it went off. I grabbed it and silenced it, thinking "I hope that doesn't wake Amy up." I don't know if she actually fully woke up or not.. but she did (on some level) hear my phone, and then reached over and hit her snooze button, thinking it was her alarm clock. *giggle*
Oh good times. Then I told her about it later, and we just laughed and laughed...

In other news... I'm a horribly nostalgic person, and that needs to stop. |
